Currently …

• I am actively involved in the emerging missional church conversation/movement and am interested in speaking to different groups, especially those interested in learning more about TransFORM, a missional community formation network, and Hope Partnership for Missional Transformation.
• I speak occasionally on social media marketing (corporate) and cause marketing (non-profit), as well as the intersection of communication and mission, what I’ve dubbed “kingdom journalism.”

• I led a workshop on “Funding the Emerging Missional Church” at Soularize 2011 in San Diego, California, in October 2011.
• I helped organize the Missional Church learning track at the 2011 General Assembly of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), held in Nashville, Tennessee, in July 2011.
• I co-led workshops with Tripp Fuller and Phil Shepherd at Inhabit Conference in Seattle, Washington, April 29-30, 2011.
• I co-led workshops with Anthony Smith on forming missional communities at the Big Tent Christianity conference in Phoenix, Arizona, February 10-11, 2011.
• I M.C.-ed the TransFORM East Coast Gathering hosted by Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C., April 30-May 2, 2010. Watch videos of the main sessions »
• I organized the Emerging Church Discussion Group in Charlotte, NC, for five years. The group is still going strong, with new volunteer leaders.

• I helped organize (and participated in various discussions at) the Everything Must Change conference in February 2008 and the Emergent Southeast regional gathering in October 2008.
• I organized and led a panel discussion on blogging—with DJ Chuang, Stephen Shields, Will Samson, and Nick Ciske—at the Internet Evangelism for the 21st Century conference, held at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, April 2005. Watch video of the panel discussion »
• I participated in two workshops at the Evangelical Press Association‘s annual convention in 2004. I co-led a workshop on blogging with Kevin D. Hendricks of ChurchMarketingSucks.com, and I contributed on a panel discussion evaluating organizational websites.
