Download This Podcast

I was interviewed just after Christmas by Jonathan Blundell for the Something Beautiful podcast, and it just came out this week. It’s their first podcast of 2009, and I’m attempting to break their download record so please go and download the podcast!

I really enjoyed talking to Jonathan and sharing a bit of my personal story. If you’d like to know more about me, my church background, my journalism experience, my philosophy of kingdom journalism, etc., please check it out.

If that doesn’t convince you to download the podcast, then let me tell you you do not want to miss the follow-up discussion/commentary from Thomas Mathie and Stewart Cutler, two Scottish guys with great accents and even greater thoughts expanding on a few of the things that come up in the interview. Definitely listen to the end to hear what they have to share!

In other news …

  • I joined two new social networks this week: Missional Tribe and Triiibes, started by marketing guru Seth Godin. I’m still geeking out a little bit that Seth Godin sent me a “personal” email invitation. (Note: Anyone can get one, just go to the Triiibes site and follow the instructions.)
  • I also began working this week on development of Website Idea 2, which was alluded to in my blog post announcing Website Idea 1.
  • Website Idea 1, now dubbed, is going steady. I’m not sure was the right platform for it—I still wonder if a Facebook Group would be more effective—but I’m sticking with it for now. Please check it out and consider joining the Google watchblog revolution.

Well, believe it or not, it is actually one of my resolutions for 2009 to blog more regularly here at, the Leadership Network Digital blog, as well as on my Kingdom Journalism blog.

I do a lot of blog editing over at the Emergent Village site (which is fun), but I really haven’t been doing much original writing of my own. And that’s what I want to do more in 2009, because I’m a writer at heart, I really enjoy writing, and that’s what brings me a lot of joy—I feel God’s pleasure, if you will (to steal a phrase from Eric Liddle).

Thanks for reading. Please keep reading and (as the bumper stickers say) let me know how I’m doing. Leave a comment or drop me an email. I’d love to hear your feedback.
