Whatta Week! I’m Tired.

I had lunch with Tim Conder up in Durham last Friday. I had coffee with Tom Davis on Monday morning here in Charlotte. I had lunch with some great folks from Adventive on Wednesday. I taped “The Danny Fontana Show” with Anthony Smith on Thursday afternoon (more on that in a later post). Then Thursday night, we celebrated the four-year anniversary of the Charlotte Emergent cohort! (See photo “4 Years / 4 Beers”—sorry, Tony, that was the best photo I got!)

Tomorrow Becky and I are driving up to the mountains in the early morning to attend the “Practicing Peace” conference at Kanuga. Hopefully there will be time for personal reflection and prayer (walking the labyrinth), as well as time to talk and pray with some co-conspirators about new forms of church in the Carolinas. No computer, no Internet for at least 24 hours. Lord, I believe unplugging is good. Help my unbelief.

Nobody mentioned BEER! I would have stayed up later later for THAT! Just kidding….well, a little….

All jokes aside I’m happy to have been a part of such a diverse, intelligent, humble, helpful, godly, loving, & (insert about a bazillion other cool adjectives here) group of people for the past 4 years. Cheers! & Amen!
