A Little Link Love for Emergent Village

As you may (or may not) know, I’m involved with an organization called Emergent Village. I help organize the local Charlotte cohort group, and I serve on the national Coordinating Group. What you might not know is that I’m one of the resident bloggers for the EV blog.

Here’s a sampling of some of the interesting stuff posted over there recently:

Churches: Get $1,000 to Impact Your Community — Universal Pictures is actually giving away the money as part of a “good deeds campaign” in conjunction with the release of the new Evan Almighty movie, starring Steve Carell.

A Universal Core? — Fascinating article from Malaysian theologian Sherman Kuek on contextualization and the Gospel (with an intro by Brian McLaren).

Suffering from EFD? — A plug for Scot McKnight’s recent post on “Emergent False Dichotomy.”

Reflections from the Emerging Women Midwest Gathering — No, I didn’t go. I just linked to Julie Clawson’s thoughts from the event.

Emerging in Brazil — A plug for blog-friend Luis Batista’s work in Sao Paulo.

OK so enough of that. Go to the EV blog and subscribe to the RSS feed right now. You’ll be glad you did. Read that stuff, respond in the comments, and please share some link love with EV. We’d appreciate it if you would! Oh, and tell me what you’d like to see more of on this blog and/or on the EV blog. Leave a comment or shoot me an email. Thanks!

It was great to connect yesterday. Looking forward to talking more. Thanks for these links. I hope to try and make it out for a cohort.
